Happy.

Do my blog posts seem super random? That's probably because they are. Just a collection of my thoughts and ideas thrown together into one area-- this blog (a.k.a. a journal for me).

My brain is currently thinking about:
I'm so excited, because Tyson had agreed to let me take some "senior pictures" of him. He's walking at commencement in May, so we figured we'd send out some announcements. With a picture. Therefore, a photo shoot. And because it's the perfect excuse to take some pictures of my favorite guy. He even suggested we take them next weekend when we're in Logan up on campus! I was SO HAPPY.
I also have a couple of other little photo "shoots" for us that I'm brewing up. Hope T doesn't mind!

I want to be a better photographer. I want to spend less time editing, more time shooting. Every day things! Beautiful things. Friends. Family. Strangers. Anything and everything.
We've had a falling out recently, Photography and I. Honestly, I don't know why or what it is. But I am ready to rekindle the flame. It's my passion and I want to keep improving.
Even if it doesn't mean a successful business.
I'll love it no matter what.

Speaking of, I can't wait to photograph my own kids someday. All the time. I already know I will be obsessive. In fact, I just ordered this book by Me Rah Koh (a little premature, I know, but it was on sale!). It makes me excited to document my future babies. All 6 or 7 of them, right honey? :)

So, I am trying to be healthier. Healthier=Happier.
No sick tummies.
A sense of accomplishment when I make whole wheat bread!
Hopefully some LBS dropping off.
Fresh produce!
So many good things about being healthier. I think the main goal is well, to just be healthy and to take better care of our bodies.
I already know I want my kids to be healthy and eat things like veggies, fruits, whole grains, etc.-- so I want to make it a habit for us to eat those kinds of things. Not just once in a blue moon, but every single day!
Really. We're happier when we eat right and exercise.

I'm just excited about our future.
I am passionate about my photography.
I love cooking. I want to be healthy!
I can't wait to be a mother to some very blonde children. (We were TOTAL toe-heads when we were kids). See below:
I'm thinking we should re-create this photo: nautical onesie and all. Are you down with that T?
And our life right now? It's really good. I'm loving my husband, focusing on finishing school and becoming a college grad, spending spare time cooking and photographing, and keeping up on the weekly laundry. :)

I am happy.

And I really want a child (preferably a boy) who looks EXACTLY like my husband did when he was a child.
Another photo?
If you insist.
 my personal favorite.

a few things as of lately.

Spring is such a happy time.

I love listening to my Frank Sinatra Pandora station. It makes me want to dance. It's happy.

Two of my best friends got engaged last week! Ah. I am so incredibly happy for them. I can't believe out of my four best friends from childhood, only one remains unengaged/wed (get on that JBod)!
I love it! And not only because I love weddings (but I really do). I just love seeing them so happy and in love. Especially since I know how great marriage is! So excited for Wit and Tals! Love you girls so much. Spring brings summer weddings-- such a happy thing.
i love my best friends.

One of my favorite feelings aside from a clean house and freshly done laundry is a bowl full of fresh produce sitting on my counter! I've been trying to cut processed foods out of our diet (at least out of the meals I make). That means more fresh food. I'm not complaining one little bit! Healthy food equals a happy girl.

This weekend is going to be real good. General Conference. Taking the kiddos to see Hop, which should be especially good with my Easter-obsessed nephew. Girl's night on Saturday. Hanging out with family. Eating good food, always a must for a good weekend. Can't wait! Definite HAPPINESS (are you catching on yet?)!

Yep. It's safe to say Spring is here! Scrapping our cars in the morning has NOT been cool, but we'll take all the sunshine we can get.

Happy Spring!

Anna Banana

Happy Birthday to our cute little niece, Anna who is turning ONE today!

We were glad to celebrate with her last weekend while in Logan.

Look at that face! She was totally cheesing it up all on her own. LOVED it.

We love you Wheez!

Really Missing...

This family right about now.

Always hoping and wishing they'll move back to UT one day... the sooner, the better!

I mean, could you handle being away from this face?
That's what I thought. :)

A few of my favorite things.

My favorite thing about Easter. We've consumed a few bags of these already...:)

Colorful, striped shirts like this one. I may just have to add this to my wardrobe!

Anniversary flowers. They're at the end of their life now, but they've served me well. Thanks Honey. :)

Homemade bread is 100 times better than store bought. And more inexpensive! Plus, there's not a lot of things better than homemade bread with some homemade jam!

My favorite magazine. I don't know what it is-- the fashion, the food, the tips and articles. Oh and the design Real Simple has is so crisp and beautiful. I just love it!

This is my "cupboard of inspiration". I am a very visual person and when I come across inspirational quotes/articles, I like the write them down. I decided to place them in this cabinet in my bathroom, so I can read them while I am blow drying my hair and passing through.

Al the Altima.

We have a new addition to our little family:
Photo courtesy of my cell phone, hence the quality.

Yep! A new car (well, a new to us car).
A 2009, dark blue Nissan Altima.

We love it so far and are REALLY glad to not have to share a car anymore.
Don't get me wrong, we like to share.
But having our own cars is a really good thing for us.

Daisy is really happy to have a friend too.

Me being lazy on daisy, back in the day.

Green.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I support St. Patty's day, even though it's not one of the "better" holidays.
However, I do enjoy it. I always wear green and sometimes I even throw parties. Like this one:

Although I think it may have just been an excuse to hang out with Tyson (he was there, even though these are the only two pictures I have). And an excuse to bake green goods.

Yep. Once a holiday lover, always a holiday lover (even on St. Pat's day).

The Reception.

I'm playing catch-up from last week. You know, anniversary week where I was sharing all our wedding pictures? Well I have two more big events to show you (the biggest events of the day).

The Reception. Obviously a big part of our day! I'll try to keep this bunch of photos to a minimum, but I can't make any promises! It was such a good part of our big day, celebrating it with friends and family. Plus it was so us. The bright colors, the candy table, the good food (we love good food). That's exactly what your wedding reception should be-- so you

Now, for the photos! Enjoy. :)

Also, currently one of my favorite photos taken by yours truly. It's inspired me to take more photos like this (although they can't all be taken in my favorite place, like this one):

Currently-- and for the past few months-- these are my choice footwear:

Summer, anyone? Yes, please!:

Speaking of summer, I think I need to own this. You know, for summer's sake :

uno.

March 12th, 2011 was the celebration of our favorite day ever,
March 12th, 2010.

Our one year anniversary was a really great day.
But to me, it was more than just the day.
It was the time leading up to it and all the pondering I did thinking of being married for one year.
One really great year.

Was it perfect? No.
We didn't need perfection. We needed experiences. We needed to learn and to grow. To be with one another as married folk.

Now,

We have a greater appreciation for one another.
We know each other much better than we did one year ago.
We love each other even more.
We realized that "best friends" is an understatement (BFF is more lke it). :)
And we are excited to celebrate future anniversaries together on many more March 12th's.
Our favorite day.

I love my bff. He's got good dance moves. He makes me laugh. He takes care of me. He does housework-- and often! He has dreams and ambitions. He's a great example. And guess what? He like likes ME.
And I think he's pretty great too. :)

Here's to one year! And forever more to come. Love you T.
Such a good day.
:)
