Bestos.

Here's the deal. I have a best friend named T. S. Perkes. Obviously. We're married and it's the best! It really is. We have so much fun together just... doing nothing? Homework? Dishes? Regardless, we have fun. We love being with each other. And we're bff's!

But this post is not about that best friend of mine. It's about those best friends who I spent 20 years of my life with. Well maybe not all had 20 years of my life, because they are younger, but for sure Talia Finley did because we were born on the same night. So here's a little tribute to my best friends.
What made me do this? Well check out one of the bestos blogs HEREand you'll see. She rocks.

I could go on and on about memories I have with them:
All the games we played in the playroom (i.e. - college, house, school, putting on plays, etc).
All the bike rides to reams.
All the watchings of Clueless, Grease, Annie and Bye Bye Birdie (don't worry-- we didn't understand any of the sexual content in the first two movies until recently).
All the tedious arguments and attempted but failed solutions (like if you make someone mad, you have to pay them a dollar).
All the renting of insects-- grasshoppers to be exact.
All the laughter we shared.
All the forts we built in the meadow behind my house.
All the sleepovers in my basement.
All the summer days spent swimming, swinging, sliding and sunning.
All the tears we shed when our besto moved to California.
All the distance we had between us, even those who were still in Utah.
And then of course, all coming back together and rejoicing when our besto moved back.
All the High School Graduations.
All the boys.. oh the boys. How juvenile we were.
All the fear as we moved to college and on with life.
All the trips to STG (dance parties, dixie rock, shopping, swimming, "Love in this Club".
All the memories. I could go on and on!
I have the BEST best friends anyone could ask for.

Talia.

Melissa.

JBod.

Witney.

These girls made me who I am today. They helped me make the decisions which led me to who I am today. Even if they don't know it.
Although I am old and married, our friendships will never die. They never have and they never will.
Things have changed, but for the better. I can't wait for their big days-- even if they aren't necessarily wedding days. No matter what happiness brings them, I'll be there. Mostly because they were there for me and because I love these girls.

Thanks bestos, for being the BEST. (cliche, i know. take it or leave it).

The end of my sentimental post.

Fancy

Here are a few of the bridals we took before the wedding. I wanted to post a bunch more, but I just posted these for now. Enjoy! We will probably never look this fancy ever again. But I enjoyed it while it lasted.
:)

this look is love.

Loved my hair. Loved the flowers.

Baby Anna Spence

We had a little photo shoot with little Anna this last week when she was only 4 days old!
It was a lot of fun. Shooting newborns is different, but really fun. It's like a whole new box of creativity has to be opened to pose them and think of good poses. Precious poses. :)
I think it was a success! But take a look for yourself.
She's beautiful!

EIGHT.

Sooo. A few weeks ago my nephew Connor turned the big 8! For his party they rented one of those blow up slides and set it up in their church. All the nieces and nephews (and even adults) had a blast going down the slide and jumping around in the giant blow up toy. Connor was baptized soon after his birthday and we're so happy for him! These kids sure do grow up fast. :)

Below: Photos.
Of course.

Wasted from the slide.
Abby, not so happy to be going down the slide.
The Birthday Boy sliding down.
My "big" kid.

Please notice the monkey. I just noticed this. Love it.
She's adorable.
Hey Hunter. You're adorable too.
Cupcakes are yummy.

Love that face.
I know Easton is blurred, but this is darling. Best uncle ever.
Happy Abby!
Nice hair Miss Izzy.
I love this little girl.
This was part of the cake. Made by Angie-- and it was stellar.

The End.
I love birthdays.
Especially kid ones. Best!

What a Babe!

My sister-in-law, Tara, had her baby this morning.
Since we live close, we got to go visit her and the new babe. She is without a name for now, but she is beautiful! I love babies. Especially when they so new, straight from Heaven. This girl is a special one and I'm excited to be her aunt!

Enjoy some photos.
