Up.

Sometimes this is exactly what I need to hear:
(Especially on Mondays)!

"Now remember, it is better to look up."

"We are Heavenly Father’s children. He wants to be a part of our lives, to bless us, and to help us. He will heal our wounds, dry our tears, and help us along our path to return to His presence. As we look to Him, He will lead us."

Quotes from one of my favorite talks given this past General Conference.

BRB.

Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately.

I've been to busy playing with this kid:

and snuggling this baby:

And soaking up every moment of family time I can!

Be back soon.

Although I'd really like to freeze time, put school on hold and spend more time with my family. I've loved hanging out with them the past few days! Many photos to come...

PS-- check out my photo blog for a fun session I did a couple of weeks ago. :)

My Pal, Hobble.

Dear Hobble Creek Canyon,

We're friends, you and I.
You bring me lovely photos, like the following:

And in return, I love you for it.
I can't be certain, but I have a feeling this is going to be a life long friendship. :)

Thank you, Hobble Creek.
Sincerely,

Katie Ann

Leah.

Hip hip hooray!
Last Thursday, October 6th, this little beauty came into the world:
Our newest niece, Baby Leah.

She's a beautiful baby and we love her already! She's got lots of love from her three big sisters and her two big brothers too. :)

Can't wait to see what kind of personality she'll have.

I'm loving the fact that our n & n count went from 17 to 19 in the last month.
7 for the Clyde side and 12 for the Perkes.
We love new babies!
(Obviously).

 Proud aunt.
 Her cute little head.

Fall Ride.

Last Saturday we went on a BEAUTIFUL four-wheeler ride up Hobble Creek canyon to Camel's Back (between general conference sessions).
It was perfect.
No jackets.
Gorgeous leaves changing colors.
Good friends.
We loved it!
I wish I would've taken more photos, but I was too busy taking it all in.
the crisp air blowing on my skin.
Squeezing Tyson tightly while he cruised up the mountain.
Perma-grin on my face gazing at the beauty around us (resulting in mucho dirt in-between my teeth).
It was one of the "ahhh" moments in life.
And I loved every minute of it.

Here are the photos I took:
View from the top. "Oh heyyy Utah Lake!"
 My favorite little city-- S-ville.

Love this time of year! Love love love it.
