25.

My boy is growing! I can tell because:

A. My clothing selection of what currently fits me is more and more limited.
B. My belly is starting to get in the way.
C. And I am getting a few karate kicks to the belly every day, which I don't mind. It lets me know that he is doing well and getting stronger! Just what we like.

We love our little buddy.
Somedays I just want him here already, in my arms, born and out of my belly.
Other days, I am glad he is still in there growing big and giving his daddy and me a little more time with just the two of us.

I don't know if I have ever been this happy.
Or this in love with my husband.
While we are excited for him to be here, we are enjoying just being us for a little longer.
I know our world is going to change a whole lot come July.
And we are ready (mostly-- still need to buy a few things like a crib and car seat and all that jazz)!
So we are taking each day at a time, eating dinner together, going on walks around the neighborhood, reading The Hunger Games each night and trying to catch a few zzzz's when we can (since we know THAT will be one of the major changes).

Here I am at 25 weeks.
15 weeks to go!

And a BIG thank you to my fabulous photographer-- Mr. T. Perkes. You are the best, Tys!

Baby Perkes...

 is
a
BOY!

And we really are so thrilled.
Tyson was beaming all day on Friday about it.
I got right to the shopping and already bought a couple new outfits for Baby Boy.

I was a little surprised, thinking it was a little lady in my belly, but a little fella just feels right.

I will be outnumbered in July, but I love my boys.
And who knows, maybe he'll be a mama's boy. :)
Tyson can't wait to start teaching him how to swim, camp, run, play and (of course) everything about sports.

And here is a little video clip for your viewing pleasure.

Dos--->Tres

We are so excited about the baby that is going to be joining our family this Summer!
It's basically the only thing I can think about. That and watermelon, chimichangas and lion pups (my current cravings).

It was October 31st, 2011 when I saw those two pink lines that changed my life forever.
That second line was a bit faint, so I made sure four more times that it REALLY meant what I thought it meant.
Yep. I was pregnant! 4 weeks along on Halloween.
I was so estastic, I ran right to Tyson's work to tell him the news. I couldn't wait! A little babe already sprouted in my belly! It was the best news ever.

Week 6, a little nausea started setting in, soon followed by the throwing up. Every day. Morning. Night. Afternoon.
My baby was letting me know that it was in there and boy did I believe it! I didn't want to eat ANYTHING. Nothing.
I lived on soup, saltines, cereal and ginger ale.
Once I reached week 11 or 12, it started getting better. I still threw up, but not as often and my appetite was returning (thankfully)!

That first trimester was kind of a blur, but there were a couple of exciting times.
The first was when we got to our hear our little babe's heartbeat at 10 weeks! Best little sound ever. Keep that little heart beating, baby.
The second highlight was when we told our families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! That was SO fun. I loved being able to have it out in the open so I could have someone else to talk to about it besides Tyson (I'm sure he was glad too)! We wrapped up all these little baby items and had everyone open them at the same time to "guess the theme of the presents". It was really fun and everyone was so excited for us.
We also sent out Holiday Cards right after Christmas to close friends and other family members with a photo telling them that we were expecting a baby in July!

I am 17 weeks today and feeling pretty good!
I have a lot more energy and a lot less nausea (praise the heavens)!
This experience has been amazing. Although my emotions run high and there have been days when I didn't feel like I could make, I am doing great! I am so excited to be a mama. I daydream about it ALL THE TIME, ask Tyson. :) And I feel so blessed and lucky! I just keep thinking, oh my gosh-- this is real! There is a real tiny human inside of me growing big and strong. I love it! We both do.
I am really looking forward to these next few weeks when I can start feeling the baby move and when we find out the gender (in 18 days)!
Dear July, (my new favorite month of the year)
Please come A.S.A.P. so I can have my little babe.
Please & Thank You.

Dear Baby,
Grow big and strong and stay healthy!
We love you soooo much.

Dear Nausea,
THANK you for subsiding so I can take more time to enjoy this amazing experience.

Dear Joe Bandido's/Cold Stone/In-N-Out,
I don't know how much longer I can keep myself away...
Hey-- what baby wants, baby gets (for now)! :)

Dear Tyson,
I cannot wait until you are a Big Daddy-o.
You are going rock socks at it.
And probably be the favorite parent.

Dear Self,
ENJOY every second you can.
Have patience.
Keep that baby growing strong and healthy.

We are SO happy.

Let's Review.

2009.
We met (first officially at a Aggie Basketball game) and re-met at a dance party at the end of February.
Fell in love, had a long-distance summer and got engaged that fall.

2010.
We tied the knot in March on a beautiful Spring day, for forever.
We also became roomies and loved being newly weds in our little town, Logan.

2011.
We started the year off with a big move down south to the Salt Lake Valley. Tyson started a new job as a college graduate and Katie plugged away at her college education. We also found out that the next year would be life changing...

2012.
Making a big move(again) this weekend to Springville.
Oh and a little babe is expected to join our family July 10th, 2012! We could not be more excited!
Many happy times ahead of us. :)
