Currently.

I can't get enough of this girl.

"D-T. T'mon!"
"I'a watch Mickey Mousey."
"I'a Juicey."
"Ya!"
"What doing?"

Everything she says is my favorite.

Love this almost two year old!

MIA.

Hello? Hello? Are you there? Are you still reading this?

I hope so.

I have been a little bit absent-- I apologize! It has been a crazy few weeks for the Perkes household and we're finally slowing down (kind of) and getting ready for SUMMER.

Last weekend I played "Mom" to my five adorable nieces and nephews and man-- my sister is basically a rock-star. My respect for her grew immensely in just the first day! Of course the kids were really good and helpful, but kids are just a lot of work!
I am hoping we don't get Quints right off the bat... I'll take them one (or two) at a time, please.

Once it was all said and done though, I was missing my motherly duties and hating the silence!

I love those kiddos and can't wait to be a mom to my own one day.

I can't believe May is almost over! It's my favorite month of the year. But-- the best is yet to come.
Next week the greatness begins!
The Henrie's Arrive.
Memorial Day weekend.
Birthdays galore (including my own)!
Ah-- can't wait.

Speaking of, I will be 22. I used to think that sounded old, but I am thinking it sounds pretty young!
I am in the YW's in my ward now, which I am so excited about! Even if it was only four short years ago that I was a YW myself...

Well. This is random. Just to tell you all that I'm alive and I'm back. I have a lot to blog about!
Namely, Graduation photos from a certain someone's commencement. :)

Plus our upcoming events will be documented. Of course.
And I have a lot of fun, creative ideas that I will be doing on my photo blog. In fact, I may need YOUR help with a few projects!
So stay tuned!

A photo of Emma Lou at the Wax Museum while I was being her mother.
See! I'll be good a documenting my children's important events. A plus!

God Be With You.

Our Heavenly Father loves us dearly. He knows our hearts. He has a plan for us.
Our wants and our wishes may differ from what he knows is best for us.
It might bring grief or pain into our lives and the lives of loved ones around us.
It might bring confusion and questioning.

But we must remember this:

There is a life after this.

This is not the end.

We can be with our families forever.
I find no greater joy than in knowing I'm with the man I love so dearly not only for life, but for eternity.
I can't imagine it any other way.

We will be with him again, in our eternal home surrounded by the people we love.

A very Happy Birthday to my Mamacita.

It's my Mom's birthday today!

Happy Birthday Mother dear.

What can I say: my mom has not only GIVEN me so much, she has taught me more things that have left a lasting impression my my heart.

A few life lessons I learned from my Mom:

Be giving. Always include everyone. Serve others, often!

How to cut fruit properly. How to make a well-rounded, colorful meal. And many other tid-bits in the kitchen that have helped me become a better cook myself.
How to sew and make beautiful quilts (even if she did help me a lot on them).

The basics to gardening, weeding and planting flowers.

Although "clean your room" was her most frequent phrase to me-- it has finally stuck! It may have taken a few years, but I know how to clean and how to clean WELL.

The importance of going to church every week. Family prayer. Living by the Spirit. The sacredness of the temple.

How to have a pretty home and a lovely wardrobe.
Just to name a few.

I don't know where I'd be without my mom!

One of my biggest aspirations in life is to be a mother myself!
It's something I've always wanted and something I am really looking forward to.

One of the main reasons I want to be a mother, is so I can try to be at least half of a mother than my mom has been to my sisters and I.
Happy Birthday Mom! I hope you have a really great day.

We love you!

 My beautiful mother and I.
 Also a fabulous Grandma!
Her favorites-- the beach and Diet Coke with lime.
 All the girls!
Best parents around!
