38.

Two weeks.
That is really soon.

(And three at the most, seeing as they will induce me a week after. Also very soon)!

Overall I actually am feeling great.
Sure my feet are swollen,
sleeping at night is turning into a joke,
and all it takes is a flight of stairs to get me winded and exhausted.

But I really do feel good.
Which is a blessing, because it's enabled me to cross things off of my "to do" list!
I would say we are basically ready for this little babe to join our family.

Or as ready as we'll ever be... :)

Here are some photos of my big belly today at 38 weeks.
This boy is definitely not petite!
As long as he is healthy, he can be as big as he wants (within reason, son...)

And just be grateful you will stop seeing so many pictures of me and many more pictures of a cute, tiny baby. :)

 Really cute, Tys.

The Best Job.

This brought tears to my eyes.
Now, that could be because I am nine months pregnant and extremely emotional...
But I like to believe it's because motherhood has already sunk into my bones.
I already feel like a mother and I'm already proud to have "the best job".
If we could just get that boy here so we could make it official! :)

P.S.-- Every day that goes by, I have an added measure of gratitude towards mothers out there! Especially my own.
Mom's are rock-stars!

snow-cones and sleepless nights.

Currently loving:

Sales at the Baby Gap: they have my favorite baby boy clothes!
Snow-cones, milkshakes, slurpees, nugget ice-- anything COLD.
Bike rides with Ty Per.
Evenings at the ballpark watching the kiddos play.
Baby boy's nursery: it's really coming together and I am loving it!
To go along with that, the quilt I made for him. I love the way it turned out.
Fruit of any kind-- tastes so good.
The relationship I have been rekindling with my camera.
5:30 every day when I get to hang out with Tys.

Looking forward to:
July, duh. Baby month!
Finally being DONE with classes and college.
My favorite season of Fall.
Drives and walks with T and the babe.
A clear calendar with no plans and no tests/assignments. I love looking at September!
Wearing 95% of my wardrobe once again.
And just plain being a mama.

Some days are long and I am tired and I know it's only the start of that feeling. :)
I know sleep will be deprived.
Showers will become a luxury.
And my time will be spent nursing and changing poopy diapers.

But I am still happy. And I still look forward to those days!
My baby will be here and that will be enough for me.
Plus I've got the best guy around to help me figure out our new life, together. :)

Bring it on, July. Bring on motherhood, sleepless nights and the happiest days of our lives.

Until then, I'll wait and let my baby cook a little longer while I enjoy a nice, cold snow-cone at the ballpark.

twenty-three years old.

Last week I turned 23.

Tyson made the day extra special.
Starting with my favorite breakfast in bed.
Leading to a little gift, such as my favorite magazine or candy, every hour on the :23.
Then he came home from work with flowers.
Not to mention presents that night: new toms, a Polaroid camera and a photography book (that boy knows me well).
I don't mean to brag-- but really? He outdid himself and made me one happy birthday girl!

I can't believe I have been on this earth 23 years.

I met T. Perkes when I was just 19.
I got married when I was 20.

And now I am 23, about to become a mother.

Spending the year with my best guys.

23-- be good to me. Because I think you're going to be my favorite year yet!

grad.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go back to Logan and walk at the commencement ceremonies.

I am nearly-after-i-finish-two-online-summer-classes a college graduate!
Walking was something I really wanted to do-- even being seven months pregnant!
Logan was where I started my college education-- and where I spent the first three and a half years-- so I wanted to finish there as well.

So many memories came flooding back to me!
I will always love Utah State.
It's where I really discovered who I was and what I believe in.
It's where I made lifelong friends.
And it's where I met that best-o of mine!:)
Logan will always have a piece of me.

 Aggie for life!

My dad who serves on the Utah Education Board of Regents was able to hand me my diploma cover. That was such a neat experience! It was fun to see my dad dressed up in graduation garb watching his last daughter graduate from college!

Parading through campus, making ridiculous faces (apparently).
In a sea of graduates-- Hi Mom!
The people who got me to where I am today!
 My number one fan.
 Aggie Grads!
 All of my supporters!
 My awesome in-laws!
 Sisters- minus Al!
Baby getting some recognition for making the walk with me. :)

Now I leave behind that stage of my life and take on the next: motherhood.
And you know, I couldn't be more excited about my post-college plans! I think this boy will be a pretty cute daily companion.

33 weeks down, 7 to go! It's creeping up on us. We're a little nervous (or a lot), but we can't wait to meet this little man.

30.

Last week I had a little self-portrait photo shoot in the baby's empty room.

I had to mark 30 weeks. My belly is growing, so baby is too! I can tell he is getting more squished in there, because part of his body has taken residence up in my right rib cage.
That's okay baby, I love you enough to let you poke and prod me any way you want.

I am now 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks until the due date. Hooray!
I love single digits.
Bye bye toesies.

Baby Boy's Nursery

Let me just start out by saying this post has been a long time coming!
I have spent quite a bit of time on it... and after doing so one afternoon, my internet browser crashed and blogger did not save my draft!
So I hurry and wrote down everything I remembered so I could recreate it.

Anyway-- I have been planning my little buddy's nursery out for the last few weeks (since I finally settled on my color scheme/ideas).  There isn't really going to a "theme" to the nursery. The style is simple and modern with a vintage twist.

Some of the items I have purchased. Some I plan to purchase. And others are going to be used as inspiration!

I am really excited for it to all come together and for this little guy to live in it. :) I mean, it is FOR him and created with him in mind. Of course. :)
