Simplicity.

It's the simple things that make me the most happy.

Painting my nails a bright color. Strawberry scented too!

My Honey's text message telling me that I looked cute at lunch.

The pretty, yellow flowers growing in my kitchen.

A entire weekend spent with my husband.

Being on the verge of starting a new semester-- fresh starts are my favorite.

Photographing people I love, like these kids.

Date nights!

Quotes like the one on my sidebar.

The month May being just around the corner-- I love May! Best month of the year.

Yes. It's the simple things that make life it's best

Oh, and this man:

Seriously. He makes me laugh daily.
And, he even cleans the kitchen floors-- without being asked.
What more could a woman want?

Hippity Hop.

Our Easter weekend through photos.

Saturday. Rolling eggs down Old Main Hill.
 Action Shot!

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's!
 What a nice smile.
 I love my Easter Honey.
 Oh hey Anna!

Easter Sunday in Springville.
 LOVE Josh's face here.
The cute Hafen children in the Easter attire.
Lauren a.k.a. Lo-lo or as she refers to herself, Yo-yo.
 Running to Uncle Tyson.
That tongue hanging out is a total Clyde thing!
Josh-- allergy eyes-- but with his beloved Easter basket!
The only photo I got of us on Easter, sadly.

It was such a happy weekend! We love holidays, treats and family time. :)

Cool Cats.

Having MAJOR raccoon eyes after rubbing your eyes incessantly post onion cutting.
Yes, they were BURNING.
And not noticing until your husband points it out (while laughing).
Man, they were the definition of raccoon eyes. Why did I not take a picture of myself?

That's when you know you're cool.

Your husband hollering to your from the other room with the excitement of a 7 year old on Christmas morning. Why you ask? He just found the Facebook pages of the contestants on the Biggest Loser. It practically WAS Christmas morning for him. Maybe better. He had them opened in multiple tabs on his web browser and showed me each one, some photos and which "walls" you could read.

That's when you DEFINITELY know you're cool.

So glad to know I married someone as cool as I am.

I love it.

The Grad.

I've got lots of fun pictures from our weekend to share with you.

Unfortunately, I am also feeling under the weather today (this time of year my immune system is the WORST).

So most of those photos will have to wait!

But there is a couple that I must share with you tonight.

My husband is so cool. Really.
I loved our little photo shoot this weekend and wondered why we don't have them more often! Right Honey?

Also, this is why I love taking pictures of my husband. He does whatever I ask him to! And he makes me laugh, but that's an "all-the-time" thing. :)

This is his imitation of a traditional "school picture".
I was dying.

I love my graduate!

He is Risen!

We love Easter.
We love spending time with family.
We love rolling Easter eggs down Old Main Hill.
We love Easter treats, namely Cadbury anything.
We love going on Easter egg/basket hunts!
We love dying Easter eggs.
We love Easter Ham.
We love big, fluffy bunny's hopping through parks.

But more importantly, we love the real reason we celebrate Easter. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I couldn't say it any better than this:

Happy Easter.
Don't forget to put the eggs aside and to remember the reason we are here today.
Our older brother and all the sacrifices he has made in our behalf.
He has given us everything.
May we turn our thoughts to him, not just today, but every day.
May we turn to him in our times of distress, sorrow and sin.
May we also rejoice in his glorious gospel by studying his life and minstry on the earth.
And by preparing to live with him again.

Tunes.

I've been thinking about road trips.
Probably since my last post was about our little road trip down South.

More specifically, road trip music.

Do you have certain songs or artists that remind you of road trips? Family road trips to your yearly vacation destinations?

I know I do.

There are certain artists that remind me of my family in general, or certain vacations we've taken.

Here's a few of them and what they remind me of:

Peter Cetera & Chicago
The days of skiing together and just being with the family.

Sting &  The Police
Hawaii and Lake Powell

John Mellencamp
Driving around town with my mom.
Phil Collins
Nothing specific, just the family in general.

The Eagles
Road trips with just me and the parent.

Shania Twain
Always reminds me of my sisters.
Celine Dion
All girls, remember?

I love listening to these "oldies", probably because they remind me of the people I love most.

They attached to some of our favorite places and some of my favorite memories.
I love the family I came from.
I love that I had only sisters.
I love that I was the baby by almost 6 years, so I can have the relationship with my parents that I do.

I love everything about these artists.

And just for kicks. A favorite of Sting, that reminds me of my favorite places on Earth.

Lake Powell
Laie, Hawaii

Driving.

One thing I DID take pictures of on our little road trip last weekend was our drive down.
They aren't that exciting, but it made the drive much more enjoyable.
I took some video footage too. I'm hoping that I can figure out how to edit and put it together into a little movie to share with you all. :)

Any i-movie experts that want to help? Any advice is welcome!

 The Driver.
 The Passenger (those dang bangs).
 Approximate start time.
Two bare feet on the dashboard.
Some pirate pants, made especially for the trip.
Sunglasses. Crucial for a road trip.
Just me, you and the open road.
Road trip tunes.
